Planning Applications

3.1.

Application No. WD/2008/0494/F

Location: Little Potters, Limes Lane, Buxted

Description: Remove existing lean to extension to side. Construct new one and a half storey extension to side providing new main entrance, utility area, kitchen/breakfast room and sitting area.  Provide first floor bathroom and new principal bedroom with ensuite on first floor

Applicant: Mr & Mrs M Hawkins

Agent: David Jenkins Design

No objection provided that the materials used and fenestrations are to listed buildings standards to ensure that property remains in character with the area.

3.2.

Application No. WD/2008/0516/LDE

Location: High Hurstwood Lodge, Chillies Lane, High Hurstwood

Description: Siting of storage containers on agricultural land

Applicant: Mr. N J Oliver

Agent: Mike Hill - Architectural Services

The Council does not support this application. The Council understands from an immediate neighbour (Mr. J Wolsey-Cooper of High Hurstwood Lodge) that the storage containers were installed between April and June 2005 – contrary to the assertion in the applicants Form CLEUD 1. It is noted that no evidence of the delivery of the containers has, despite the statement at section 8, been provided. It is understood that Mr. Wolsey-Cooper brought the then recent installation of the containers to the attention of a Wealden Planning Officer in 2005.

Given that additional storage and shelter is to be provided for animal feed etc. on the adjacent agricultural land for the applicant’s livestock, these containers are now unnecessary.

Four new applications had been received and were distributed.
