Planning Applications

3.1.

Application No. WD/2008/1402/F

Location: Hillcrest High Street, Buxted

Description: Proposed erection of detached carport

Applicant: Mr. & Mrs. S Fraser

Agent: Pump House Design Ltd.

The Council objects to this application. Although it is now proposed that the car port is to be situated on the west side rather than the east side of the garden, as was proposed in the earlier application, the height of the proposed car port will mean that the structure would still block light to two windows of the Methodist Church Hall and would also overshadow it. The Church Hall is frequently used in the evenings and the proposed structure would block the evening sunlight. There are neighbour objections to the application.
