Application
No. WD/2007/3583/F
Location:
Oast View, Five Ash Down
Description:
New rear conservatory, new detached garage and machinery store,
re-pitching of roof to form loft conversion
Applicant:
Mr &Mrs G Dadswell
Agent: Mr G
A Parr
The Council
objects to this application and notes that the existing building
is out of character with the area. The proposed loft conversion
and re-pitching of the roof will significantly and unacceptably
add to the mass of the house. Additional fenestration is
proposed contrary to the conditions of the permission of 7
October 1997 for application WD/97/0537/F. The proposals are not
in keeping with the area nor the neighbouring houses and will
result in overshadowing, overlooking and a resultant loss of
privacy for neighbours. The garden store is not warranted by the
very small garden area. The height and bulk of the garage is
undesirable and will be overbearing in this setting.

Application
No. WD/2007/3571/F
Location:
Oast View, Five Ash Down
Description:
New rear conservatory, single storey side extension, front
extension forming granny annexe.New detached garage and garden
machinery store.
Applicant:
Mr &Mrs G Dadswell
Agent: Mr G
A Parr
The Council
objects to this application and notes that the existing building
is out of character with the area. The proposed extensions will
significantly and unacceptably add to the mass of the existing
house – it is estimated that there would be a 73% increase in
footprint (93% including the garage/store). The proposals are
not in keeping with the area nor the neighbouring houses and
will result in overshadowing, overlooking and a resultant loss
of privacy for neighbours. The garden store is not warranted by
the very small garden area. The height and bulk of the garage is
undesirable and will be overbearing in this setting.
